Registered Manager

Salary: £34,098 per year

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a Mental Health care provider, who is seeking a Registered Manager for a small care home in York for young people with a range of Mental Health needs.

The company is a medium sized, specialist provider offering publicly funded specialist mental health supported residential placements to the NHS and Local Authorities across the North of England. They mainly work with young people and young adults aged 16-30 with significant mental health difficulties who are often leaving the hospital or secure care and who require a higher level of support on discharge than other services can provide.

Salary: £34,098(Dependant on experience)

Responsibilities of Home Manager:

Have the overall responsibility for the day to day management of a 5-bed residential home for young people with mental health needs.

Be responsible for the day to day running of the home including managing the staff team, maintaining the quality of care, recruitment and training of staff, budget management and maintaining overall CQC compliance

Be educated to the provision of quality care and support for all the Young People, ensuring or facilitating their physical, social, psychological, intellectual, and spiritual needs within the resources available.

Registered Manager Requirements:

Excellent understanding of mental health and the issues young people face

Minimum 2 years Residential Supervisory Management experience

Must hold the Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 qualification or equivalent and be willing to work towards Level 5 in Leadership in Health and Social Care

Experience with working with Quality Care Commission (CQC) or Ofsted registered services.

Full UK Driving Licence & access to a vehicle

The ability to work collaboratively with a wider multi-disciplinary team (both internal and external)
