Our client is a market leading manufacturer & supplier into the UK farming and agricultural sector.

We are currently hiring on their behalf for this key, senior appointment whereby we are welcoming applications from sector experienced sales managers to take charge of a field sales team covering the Devon & Cornwall area.

Please note this is a ‘traditional’ field sales/regional sales management role whereby the focus is truly upon leading the sales team (7/8 strong), undertaking all coaching, training, developing, to include field accompaniment visits, activity monitoring, appraisals and performance management.

You must therefore be a proven sales manager with strong man/team-management ideally within the associated agricultural/farming related sales sector (precise products sold into sector are not so imperative at this stage).

You will have a strong coaching/development mantra and philosophy and experience of really ‘getting the best’ out of your sales team in order to ensure they hit the heights and achieve set targets.

Applicants must be residing within the Devon/Cornwall or Somerset area to be considered (although we shall also consider genuine relocaters). The role offers a good deal of flexibility when not in the field whereby you can work both from home and on occasion from one of the client’s regional sites.

Please note that the ideal applicant will come from an existing agriculture sector supplier, although exceptional candidates with experience of product supply related to the ‘food chain’ or nutrition would also be considered.
