Service Engineer

We need a Refrigeration Engineer as a refrigeration business is looking to add an Service Engineer in Scotland. Mobile Refrigeration Engineers can be based in Edinburgh, Glasgow or in between the two cities.

The work is going to be with supermarkets and some retail sites and Fridge Engineers will be expected to have skills & experience in the following –

Basic maintenance
Service calls
Reacting to breakdowns
Diagnosing faults & making repairs

Mobile Service Engineers need to be ideally to cover the following-

Packs (Scroll, Semi Hermetic & Screw Compressors)
Controls – RDM, CDK, Elm, Danfoss etc
Walk in cold/freezer rooms
Refrigerated cabinets
Integral / Sandwich Chillers
Upright Fridges
Split AC
Co2 Systems (Any experience is very beneficial)

Ideally Person Specification –

Technicians will be working unsupervised out in the field and so the client is looking for someone with at least 4 years post apprenticeship experience in the sector. Hopefully candidates will be fully qualified with a C&G or NVQ and of course hold the essential F-Gas. Further certificates such as CARE & Co2 will be beneficial to the application.

Any previous work experience of working in supermarkets (Tesco, Morrison, Lidl, Aldi, Co-op, Costco, etc) is real advantage.

On top of the basic, engineers are paid travelling time, plus overtime and will be placed on a stand by rota.
