Salary: £31,200 – £32,400 per year
Refrigeration Engineer
A new Refrigeration Engineer role is needed for our client who is a RAC contractor. This need will be for a Service Engineer to cover sites in & around North East / North & East London & these areas of M25.
Mobile Refrigeration Engineers should have around 5-6 years field experience and be used to working on equipment commonly found in cafes, pubs/bars, restaurants, commercial kitchens, hotels and retail stores
Working responsibilities will be to attend service calls & conduct annual service visits, with the a higher percentage of the calls being to breakdown calls. So Service Engineers will be expected to have strong fault finding / diagnosing skills on commercial refrigeration units.
RAC Engineers should have knowledge & experience on the following refrigeration systems-
Ice Machines
Cellar Cooling & Bottle Fridges
Upright Fridges/Freezers
Integral Chillers & Display Cabinets
Walk in Freezer/Coldrooms (some larger remote condenser coldrooms)
Split & Multi Split air conditioning
Minimum requirements –
NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 in Ref & Air Conditioning
F-Gas Certificate = C&G 2079 Category 1 or CITB J11
The basic salary for new Refrigeration Engineers is based on 40 hours and is around £31,200 – £32,400plus door to door travel, call outs (1 in 3) and overtime giving an OTE of £35-38K.
