Are you an experienced Anaesthetic or Recovery Nurse wanting to take the next step in your career with a progressive, busy and friendly team? My client is looking for a professional and motivated person to support the smooth running of the Operating Theatre Department in their York Hospital. My client is a well-established global hospital group with over 50 years’ experience. It is well respected within the healthcare industry and is one of the leading providers of independent hospital services in England.

The Role:

• Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating all aspects of patient care
• Delivering a high standard of patient care applying evidence-based practice
• Being able to work in a multidisciplinary team in all areas of theatre and supporting your colleagues
• Preparing the operating theatre/anaesthetic room for surgery ensuring all equipment and supplied required are stocked
• Run a theatre list without supervision
• Promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements, organising data, interpreting information and making justifiable assessments
• Ensuring patient record is completed correctly and in a timely manner
• Improve working environment and contribute to improving health and safety environments, infection control and work practices

Requirements:

• Qualified ODP/Theatre Nurse with experience in anaesthetics and/or recovery
• NMC or HCPC registered with no restrictions on your pin.
• Experience working in a multidiscipline team
• At least 6 months’ theatre experience
• You will be highly motivated and used to working in challenging but rewarding environment.
