You:

  • We are seeking candidates that always seek to provide great customer service in a sometimes challenging environment, people that go ‘above and beyond’ to offer our customers a solution that really fits their needs.
  • You will need to enjoy working with customers and be able to demonstrate a positive can do attitude and at times tolerance, sympathy and understanding.
  • A minimum of three years driving experience in vehicles 10,000 kgs or above.
  • A technical background is an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • A current digital tachograph card is essential as is a current Driver’s CPC.
  • All candidates are subject to DBS & Police Vetting checks.

The role:

  • This specialist role involves more complex vehicle recovery following accident, theft and mechanical breakdown.
  • Our Wrotham branch provides vehicle recovery for Kent Police in addition to other major contracts. These recoveries include regular use of a HIAB type lorry loader crane, so you will need previous experience of lorry mounted crane use.
  • Due to the strict performance criteria of this contract you will need to reside in close proximity.
  • The position is shift based and includes working at nights and weekends at times.
  • You will need to hold at least a C licence but preference will be given to CE licence holders.
  • Driver CPC must be current and you will need to pass the Kent Police Vetting process as well as our standard DBS check process.
  • We attend breakdowns in all weathers so you need to be prepared to work outside and sometimes in difficult conditions to recover our customers.
  • You will be offered a competitive salary package with a high basic wage coupled with a productivity bonus that means in excess of £40,000 is achievable.
