Ramp General Operative

Premier Work Support are now recruiting Ramp General Operatives at Gatwick Airport for the 2014 season.

Job duties:
Loading / Unloading baggage to and from the Aircraft Hold and the Baggage Belt by manual means
Marshalling of disembarking and embarking passengers to/from the terminal building when necessary
Maintaining a safe working environment
Positing steps to aircraft
Pushing back aircraft

Candidate Requirements:
A current and valid UK or EU passport
Proof of NI Number (NI Card, P45 or P60)
A full driving licence with no more than 3 points
A 5 year checkable history with no more than 4 jobs
Live no more than a 45 minutes commute to Gatwick Airport
Flexibility with the working hours (as these can be subject to change)
No criminal record, or any unspent convictions

YOU WILL BE WORKING WEEKENDS

Experience:
We are looking ideally for candidates who have previous loading/unloading experience (sometimes heavy loads), and who are working to strict deadlines in a pressurised environment.

You will be allocated to either Ramp or the baghall depending on experience.

Shifts / Hours:
You have flexible to work at the airport as the airport is open on a 24 hour operation.
Shifts will fall on weekdays, weekends and bank holidays and consist of earlies and lates. Shifts will start from 02:30am.
It is important that applicants are flexible with their working hours.
