WHAT COMPANY YOU WILL BE WORKING FOR
Westray Recruitment Consultants is looking to recruit an experienced Quality Technician to commence work in an assembly manufacturing environment in the Gateshead area.
We want to hear from candidates who have a thorough understanding of ISO based systems, APQP, 8D and PPAP.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE?
As Quality Technician you will get involved in the following:
Resolving shop floor quality problems.
Customers complaints analysis
Supplier part concern analysis
Processing of all non-conforming material
8D reporting
Internal report writing.
Audit of internal processes
Producing One Point Standard and Visual Aids
Producing rework instructions
Inspection of assemblies in accordance with Customer drawings
Producing of inspection reports.
Generating & maintaining Quality Systems documentation.
Implementation and monitoring of quality targets
Monitor and report quality performance. Internal and Customer.
Provide technical support to production to produce to the correct quality standards.
Communicate and co-ordinate quality information to customers and all internal departments in order to ensure compliance.
Liaison with suppliers to ensure all goods purchased are to the required quality level
WHAT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?
As Quality Technician you will have the following experience and skills:
Industry qualifications preferred.
Good understanding of the ISO 9001 Quality system.
Good knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes.
Common sense approach to problem solving.
Confident decision maker and proactive approach to continuous improvements.
Good data analysis skills.
Good communication skills (written and oral) and organisational skills.
Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications, assembly, inspection and test instructions.
Ability to work with minimum supervision, individually and as part of a team.
Ability to interact with staff at all levels.
Full license preferred and prepared to travel.
Flexible approach to all requirements of the business.
WHAT ARE THE FINER DETAILS OF YOUR ROLE?
You will work permanent days 8am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-2pm on a Friday.
WHAT SALARY PACKAGE YOU WILL BE RECEIVING
This position pays £11.4 oer hour.
