Quality Support Manager 

Salary: £33,300 – £43,400

Location: Cambridge or Coventry depending on your location, hybrid role working 2 days per week from the office

Contract: Permanent, full-time – 35 hours per week

With the quality and fitness for purpose of OCR’s qualifications being paramount, the Quality Support Manager is a key role within the Quality Support Team, Assessment Standards at OCR. This role is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant contribution to OCR’s quality of marking and moderation processes.

About the role 

The Quality Support team are responsible for overseeing the monitoring of quality of marking and moderation processes to ensure regulatory compliance. As the Quality Support Manager, you will monitor and manage these processes throughout an examination series.

You will also be involved in piloting activities to support Assessment Standards Managers and Senior Assessors in improving the quality of future assessments, processes, and the maintenance of standards.

You will contribute to and analyse data for performance reviews of qualifications by Assessment Standards Managers to determine fitness for purpose and actions for continuous improvement.

The workload can be described as high throughout any twelve-month period but there are significant periods when the workload is particularly demanding:

During major examination and awarding periods – mid-May to early August and to lesser extent January/February and November. Some weekend working will be required during these periods.

About you 

If you have an analytical mind-set and are someone who can gather and analyse data to make informed decisions and the ability to prioritise and deliver multiple processes on time and to a high standard, then we want to hear from you!

You will have experience of working in a fast-paced environment, following processes, and producing documentation. A keen eye for problem solving and attention to detail is essential in the Quality Support team.
