Quality Engineer

Salary: £36,000 – £48,000 per year

A Quality Engineer is required for a manufacturer and supplier of specialist fixings and fasteners. This opportunity would suit an experienced Quality Engineer who is experienced within fixings and fasteners quality background and is looking to join a stable and successful company.

Quality Engineer role:

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for the following job roles and responsibilities:

• Ensure the provision and review of Quality related documentation

  Support the management on quality related issues

• Monitor the quality and effectiveness of inspections and tests being undertaken by the production teams
• Promote quality culture and awareness. 
• Support the Quality Manager on all quality matters including delivery of quality assurance for the works.
• When required travel to manufacturing sites and be customer facing to deal with any quality issues or customer complaints 
• Implement Continuous Improvement and aid efficiency

Quality Engineer Requirements:

The suitable Quality Engineer will ideally have the following:

• Must have at least 2 years in a similar role
• Be qualified to HNC/HND or City and Guilds in Manufacturing or Engineering or similar
• Have experience with CMM
• Have a solid fasteners background
• Be familiar with facing customers and dealing with issues
• Conversant with ISO 9001 would be desirable

Quality Engineer package:

• Salary up to £36,000 – £48,000depending on experience
• 23 days + bank holidays
