This quality engineer role is very much suited to individuals who thrive on being in the thick of the shop floor, always keen and passionate to make improvements – both through quality management systems and NCR’s to looking at process capabilities.
The Client & Role | Who Are They?
SME sized manufacturing and engineering business based in Bolton, just north of Manchester off the M61 are looking for a quality engineer. This is a great opportunity to work for a growing business, part of a global group, which prides itself on quality and right first time.
Purpose of the Role
A varied quality role which looks at all aspects of the business from conducting planned internal audits to managing the company’s calibration system for the maintenance of all test and measurement equipment.
The Candidate | What Are We Looking For?
To be in with a shout you must have a good grasp of various quality tools, 8D, Ishikawa, 5Y and the like, in an industrial/manufacturing environment – machining, precision engineering or assembly would be advantageous.
– You must be able to influence, train and coach at all levels and most importantly you must have a strong need to be out on the shop floor.
– Experience of ISO9001:2015 and AS9100 completing audits when applicable and experience of maintaining the NCR register ensuring close out of actions to deadlines.
– You must also have experience of working on CMM Machines- PC-DMIS Level 1 and PC-DMIS CAD ++ software very desirable.
