Quality Coordinator

Salary: £38,400 – £40,800 per year

Quality Coordinator, Kettering, 8.30am – 5pm, £32K – £34K doe.

Our client is a highly successful production company who on top of years of success, continue to grow and have ambitious plans for increased business over the next 3 years and beyond.

Due to further expansion they are looking for a Quality Coordinator / Quality Supervisor to join their team in the newly created role.

Reporting to the Manager the Quality Coordinator will be responsible for;

• Day to day contact with the customer
• Gathering micro samples and log/monitor
• Instigating corrective actions and overseeing rework
• Collation of data – this includes missing checks, micro fails, results etc
• Seeking and monitoring concessions for products/materials
• Authorising and approving specifications and other documentation
• Authorising and implementing paperwork, checks etc
• Briefing appropriate departments on new products/jobs and including any relevant or additional quality checks
• Attending pre-production meetings, new product trials and new product start-ups
• Ensuring all new products get customer approval
• Reporting substandard WIP/Material issues
• Conducting routine independent quality checks
• Carry out internal audits
• Involved in site audits
• Involved in investigating incidents and root cause analysis
• Conducting traceability exercises
• Positive Release of finished product
• Controlling of On Hold/ Embargo stock
• Recording and monitoring site temperature

Experience required for the role of Quality Coordinator;

• Experience in quality control ideally food quality or similar within production or warehouse
• A good understanding of systems and processes
• Must be able to make own decisions and liaise with other department colleagues and/or departments
