Job Description

Our client based in Hook has a requirement for a Quality Control – Team Leader on an on-going contract basis. Our client is an innovative and reliable manufacturer of cable assemblies and full box build electronics, specialising in the design and manufacture of cable assemblies using bio-compatible materials. The ideal Candidate for this role at someone with experience for not only testing product, but with some management/supervisory experience.

The Role – Quality Control – Team Leader

  • Knowledge of cable assembly, mechanical drawings for products
  • Quality Test and/or Inspection qualification or relevant experience
  • Capable of using general test equipment
  • Be able to understand how the parts is put together in order to test and be able to recommend/advise what test parameters are required
  • Understand Quality procedures and documentation and adhere to them
  • Recommend improvements
  • Recommend KPI’s / Goals for themselves (and the team when the time is appropriate)
  • Liaise with suppliers (generally via email)
  • Be able to interact with other employees/colleagues at any level
  • Identify any training requirements for themselves (and the team when the time is appropriate)
  • Ensure through inspection regime the identification and compliant versus noncompliant product
  • They will be expected to carry out other duties as require which includes covering/assisting with warehouse for holiday and sickness
  • Ensure utilisation of Inspection resource is effective and efficient to target daily workload (when the time is appropriate)
  • Management of Calibration/arranging annual calibration of equipment with appropriate suppliers (when the time is appropriate)

Qualifications / Skills / Experience – General Assembler

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident working in a demanding and pressurised environment
  • Adaptable and flexible in approach to change
  • Planning and Organising – the ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Excellent team worker, with the ability and self-discipline to work alone effectively
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to provide effective solutions
