Salary: £26,000 per year

An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Control Analyst to join a specialty FMCG business at its facility in Kent. As a QC Analyst you will ensure ongoing product quality and adherence to ISO accreditations and the internal Quality Management Systems. In addition, you will carry out a variety of analysis tests on samples via HPLC, GC-MS, UV/VIS and GC.

To be successful as a QC Analyst you should ideally hold a relevant scientific degree, possess previous analytical experience gained in a FMCG, food and beverage or related business.

This role offers flexibility to work 2/3 days a week depending on your preference and company workload.

Quality Control Analyst Responsibilities:

Analysis of samples using HPLC, GC-MS, UV/VIS, GC, and other analytical chemistry test methodologies.
Investigation of non-conforming samples, OOS results, CAPAs, data evaluation, reporting employing problem solving skills.
Follow and update Standard Operating Procedures for use of laboratory equipment procedures and investigation protocols.
Testing raw materials and finished goods as part of Goods in/out product release
Trending of results and statistical analysis of incoming goods
Update maintenance log for cleaning and servicing of equipment

Additional Responsibilities:

Update company technical documentation, including QC SOP’s and records, where required.
Maintain own training record for laboratory, regulatory compliance, and Health & Safety.
Assist with timely delivery of the laboratory activities and practices within the team.
Assist the continuous improvement activities within the laboratory.
Maintain all QC laboratory equipment as per maintenance schedule.
Involved in release of finished products and testing in compliance with EU requirements.

Quality Control Analyst Requirements:

Ideally hold a relevant scientific degree.
Possess previous analytical experience gained in a FMCG or food and beverage business.
Some understanding around regulatory requirements for ISO9001.
Experience of food or beverage manufacturing would be highly advantageous.

Salary: £26,000per year(Pro-Rata) + Benefits – Permanent – Flexible – 2-3 Days per year (25 Hours Per week)
