Our client is the Foundry Division of the global leader in products and solutions for improving foundry performance.
They are now looking to recruit a Quality Assistant to assist with the coordination of all quality system and quality control activities within their supply chain department.
Under the guidance of the Works Service Manager, the Quality Assistant will coordinate the day to day management of the quality system. Analysing production quality data, you will coordinate, maintain and report on customer complaints whilst maintaining section controlled documentation.
Initiating and coordinating supplier quality complaints, you will monitor and report on key performance indicators in terms of product quality and carry out project work to achieve quality improvement and cost reduction.
The successful Quality Assistant will ideally be educated to degree level or similar within a Science or Technical discipline and have a good working knowledge of guidelines regarding workplace safety and environment. A strong team player, you will be self-motivated and capable of working unsupervised once priorities are set.
Candidates who have knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO14001 would be advantageous as are those who have knowledge of standard quality tools such as; FMEA’s, Control Plans and Statistical Process Control.
