Qualified Cook

Harmony Recruitment and Development Limited is recruiting for a highly experienced and fully qualified Cook who will manage a busy kitchen team to deliver a first class service on behalf of our client on an ongoing temporary basis.

Your duties will include:

Responsibility for the maintenance of the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout all areas of the kitchen
Responsibility for overall management and performance of kitchen staff
Accurate completion of all records and paperwork relating to food and kitchen standards
Menu planning, budgeting and ordering/maintaining necessary stock levels on a weekly basis
To ensure a high level of respect, dignity and privacy is given to all tenants/service users at all times

Essential skills and experience:

Previous experience of cooking and serving meals to large numbers of people
In depth knowledge of general nutrition and wide ranging dietary requirements
Excellent level of Food Safety awareness
To have excellent communication skills – both spoken and written English

SVQ Food Preparation Level 11/REHIS/Intermediate Food Hygiene or an equivalent qualification.
