A well established and highly reputable organisation in Plymouth is currently recruiting a qualified accountant to join their friendly team. This is a permanent position to start ASAP.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, the role will play a key part in leading the company’s financial accounting, reporting and control activities to ensure they are carried out efficiently and effectively. You will also have line management responsibility for a finance assistant.

The main duties of this role will include; overseeing all accounting operations including invoicing, accounts payable / receivable and general ledger, preparing budgets and financial forecasts, monthly financial statements and ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

You will also assist where required with management accounts, VAT & corporation tax issues and systems & project development.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with thorough knowledge of UK GAAP and proven experience of working in a similar type role.
