QSHE Officer – Weston Super Mare – £18-26k DOE
My Client, a growing company, is one of the most advanced manufacturers in their field and utilise the latest manufacturing processes. They are looking to recruit a QSHE Coordinator / QSHE Officer for their site near Weston Super Mare.

Your new company
This is an exciting opportunity for either a trainee / graduate Quality Site Health & Safety looking for their first step onto the Health & Safety career path or an experienced QSHE Advisor looking for their next step into management. The successful candidate will working alongside the Quality Site Health and Safety Manager and will be carrying out work at their Head Office and various sites predominantly across the South West.

Your new role
As the QSHE Coordinator you will be working alongside the QSHE Manager, doing site visits and providing advice to all areas of the business. As well as getting hands on experience you will be ensuring all HSEQ administration work is taken care of, including accident/incident reports, training schedules and the QHSE management system. You will be assisting in, the maintenance of BS OHSAS & ISO 9001 including internal audits, monthly statistics, ordering, updating and reviewing British Standards, booking training courses, maintenance of the training matrix and carrying out Risk assessments and SWP reviews.

What you’ll need to succeed
To be the successful candidate you will ideally be NEBOSH qualified or happy to study towards the qualifications and have had an introduction to Health and Safety in a previous role or study. Knowledge of construction would also be helpful. Excellent communication skills, full driving licence, happy to stay over at sites if required, willing to work at heights if necessary are also key to this role.

What you’ll get in return
The salary range on this role is £26,000 – £31,200 of £26k depending on experience but more importantly, you will have that first role or gain further valuable experience in a Health & Safety career. You will also receive 5 weeks holiday, profit related bonus, pension and a life insurance scheme.
