QA Test Engineer

Our client is a leader in Infrastructure solutions.

Increased growth has led to the opening of a new role for a QA Test Engineer to join their London City based operation.

Key responsibilities:

• Create functional test scripts from requirements.
• Work with Project/Dev team and BA team to understand the testing requirements.
• Prepare test data based on the test requirements.
• Executing test scripts and capturing test results.
• Raise/track issues in JIRA.
• Work with solution team to resolve and test issues.
• Daily Reporting to the QA lead on the progress of creation and execution of test scripts.
• Update regression test pack after each release.

Candidate Criteria:

• Understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience of creation and execution of test scripts.
• Experience using Test and Defect Management tool.
• Knowledge of Agile and Exploratory Testing.
• Experience of writing SQL queries for databases – Oracle; MS SQL etc.
• Experience of using Microsoft Office applications, i.e. Word, Excel to create test documentation.
• Experience testing financial systems – nice to have.
• Ability to work on complex projects and meet deadlines.
• Team player and able to develop good relationships with peers across the firm.
• Approaches challenges with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
