Role: Purchasing Assistant

Wage: £26,000 – £26,400

Location: Outskirts of Colchester

Hours: Permanent & Full time – 40hours per week

Description:

Due to continued expansion of our client, we are seeking to fill the role of Purchasing Assistant to deal with all aspects of purchasing on their behalf. Within this roles you will work in partnership with the production management team ensuring stock availability to allow production to be optimised.

Duties include:

•Co-ordinate purchasing activity across a specific range of products and supplies
•Responsible for maintaining availability of all component parts required for our production facility and for ensuring that stock levels are monitored.
•Ensure on time delivery and to complete concise information flow from supplier through to all internal departments.

Due to the nature of the role all applicants must hold the following:

•Previous buyer or purchasing experience is required for this role
•A Full and Clean Driving License
•Marine / Engineering experience (Desirable)
•Strong working ethic
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to demonstrate continuous learning structures
•Organsised with the ability to prioritise and work on won initiative.
