Salary: £33,000 per year

Purchaser, Lincoln, Salary up to C £33,000+ Excellent Benefits 8.30 – 4.30 M-T / 8.30 – 1.30 F

Holidays: 25 plus bank holidays (holiday year is Jan to Dec)
Pension: Matched up to 8% (auto enrolment at 5%)

The role

Arlington Moore are working in partnership with a successful company based in Lincoln who are looking for an additional Purchaser or Buyer to compliment their team. You may already be working as a Buyer, Purchaser or Purchasing Assistant or Procurement Assistant, but we would also welcome applications from Stock Controllers, Supply Chain Assistants or Stock Coordinators or Supply Chain Coordinators who might be looking to centre their career around purchasing.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager principal accountabilities include;

* Ensuring all purchase orders are placed within the lead times preventing any stock outages

* Confirming delivery dates

* Rescheduling orders in line with current demand

* Placing of orders for any consumable requests

* Expedite any overdue orders

* Assisting Quality when material is rejected

* Resolving any invoice queries for finance to ensure no delays in payments

* Ensuring all departments are up to date with any information regarding material/orders

Skills & Knowledge

* Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Word & Excel; experience of an MRP system is an advantage

* Excellent attention to detail, accurate and consistent in completion of work

* Experience within a procurement department or experience of purchasing as part of your job role
