My Willenhall based client is looking for a Purchase ledger clerk to join their finance team.Benefits: Salary up to £25,000Mon to Thu – 7.30am – 5.00pmCompany pensionFree On-site parkingSick pay Duties and responsibilities: Process and maintain the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of invoices, payments, and expenses.Verify and reconcile supplier statements to ensure all invoices are accounted for.Prepare and process payment runs, including checks, BACS transfers, and direct debits.Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues with invoices or payments.Assist with month-end closing activities related to the purchase ledger.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.Provide support to the finance team as needed. Skills and Experience required: Previous experience working in a similar role.Proficient in using accounting software.Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detailKnowledge of basic accounting principles and practicesAbility to analyse financial data and identify discrepancies or trends.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
