Our Team
An exciting opportunity has become available within our Corporate Communications team, for a manager who can join us and make a real difference. ?
You’ll support the development and delivery of the Bank’s government, and other stakeholder engagement relations, communicating key messages to internal and external audiences and developing headline external campaigns for the bank.
What you’ll be doing
- Working with the Public Affairs team to build advocacy for Virgin Money in the external environment.
- Building and managing relationship with regional stakeholders and membership organisations.
- Representing Virgin Money at relevant political and policy focused events.
- Delivering comprehensive monitoring, research and analysis on the political environment and Government policy.
- Creating materials to help communicate Virgin Money’s vision to external audiences.
- Planning and delivery of events and meetings with political stakeholder’s trade bodies and consumer groups.
We need you to have
- Strong research and analysis skills, supported by excellent written and verbal communication.
- Networking skills to build and leverage relationships within the Bank.
- Experience working in government relations or communications.
- Proven strong numeracy / data skills, and PC literacy.
- The ability to work in a team – adaptable and responsive to the team and wider bank colleagues.
- Experience in working within small, focused, dynamic teams.
- Insatiable curiosity to seek opportunities to improve knowledge and skills, proactively take ownership for personal and professional development.
- An understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- HND or degree level qualification (science or mathematics coupled with a good amount of experience working in political offices) or relevant professional qualification (EG: humanity, arts).

If you’re successful in securing a role with us, there are some checks you need to complete before starting.
