My client is a large and successful primary school near Brixton, Lambeth, South West London. They are currently looking for a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to provide academic and pastoral support to a child in Year 1. He has behavioural issues that stem from low self esteem and the need to feel in control of his environment. He does not usually throw tantrums but he can be unkind verbally and on occasion physically to other children in his class. They would like to find a Psychology graduate with a strong understanding of how children learn who is resilient, patience with heaps of energy and enthusiasm to support him. When engaged, he has been described as having high academic ability.
This Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant role will help deepen your knowledge of working with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues whilst providing you with practical experience to support your future career goals.
