Role:                       Project Planner

Location:               Heathrow Airport

Term:                     Permanent

Salary:                    £50,000 – £55,000 (dependant on experience)

MJM Industrial are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Planner to work directly for a market-leading global operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The key responsibility of the Project Planner involves crafting, revising, and managing project plans for automated systems across the project’s lifecycle. Collaborating closely with the Project Manager, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, they aid in formulating project plans in coordination with the project delivery teams.

Your role will include but is not limited to:

  • Track project progress using ‘Earned Value’ reports and inform the project manager about how well the project is doing.
  • Monitor and document any changes or variations in the project plan. Make sure to record all changes and come up with plans to get back on track if the project goes off course.
  • Work in a challenging project environment to build strong partnerships that lead to successful project outcomes.
  • Build good relationships with project teams, suppliers, and others involved in the project to ensure everyone works well together and meets project goals.
  • Improve the skills of yourself and your team in project planning. Share better ways to plan projects for improved results.
  • Promote a safe work environment in projects by encouraging a safety-first culture throughout the supply chain.

YOUR BACKGROUND AND RESPONSIBILITIES

It is essential you meet the following criteria to be successful when applying for this position:

  • Primavera experience
  • Balance competing priorities, delivering within deadlines and under pressure
  • Strong and Open Communicator – capable of presenting to all levels within the organization
  • Project controls and project reporting not essential but desirable
  • Fully independent, including for Major Projects.
  • Experienced business partner for person responsible for project.
  • Ensures coordination with other disciplines.
  • Familiar with all methodologies / tooling for single and multi-project planning.
  • Independently states delivery times.
  • Evaluates the methods, tooling and processes used and puts forward proposals for improvements
  • Implements scheduled improvements
  • Experience delivering programmes within an NEC framework not essential but desirableStrong communication and presentation skills
  • Previous planning experience, NOT PM
