Job title – Project Manager or Senior Project Manager

Location – Central London

Salary – £72,000 – £96,000 plus competitive bonus + benefits

Based in central London and with an exceptional reputation, our client has decades of experience developing many of London’s finest real estate within the hospitality, mixed use and residential sector. With plans for steady growth due to recent project wins, a new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as a Project Manager.

The Role

You will receive continuous support from a senior member of the team but been responsible for the design work streams for 2 major hotel refurbishment projects ranging in value from £50m to £200m. Interfacing with signature architects, interior designers and demanding operators, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Preparing RFPs, appointing and managing consultants
Producing master programmes and design and construction programmes for individual project works
Managing consultant fee payments and contractor payments in conjunction with the appointed quantity surveyor
Co-ordinating and leading a full suite of professionals, including architects, engineers and other consultants taking full responsibility for monitoring progress and ensuring quality and delivery of services from planning to delivery
Assisting the QS and construction lawyers with the building contracts, obtaining the required warranties and implementing insurances
Monitoring and controlling variations following approval by the client
Developing schedules/programmes and preparing and implementing detailed appraisals
Overseeing the building contractors and specialist trades and monitoring the performance of the building contractor
Arranging for delivery of projects to the highest standards and on time and budget
Ensuring projects are completed and aligned with business objectives and within design guidelines

The Candidate

Ideally a degree in a construction or real estate related field: Project Management, Surveying, Engineering, Construction, Architecture, Building Surveying etc
3-7 years’ experience in the management of complex real estate projects
An understanding of scope of services and building contracts
Excellent communication skills both oral and written, together with the desire to achieve results
Team player with strong motivational skills
