Project Manager – Consultancy

Our client is a well established multi disciplined construction consultancy that works across Wales and the South West. Over the last 13 years they have enjoyed consistent growth and are at the stage where they need to expand their team with the recruitment of a Project Manager.

The company primarily provides a project management service in regards to construction projects across the region. As Project Manager your roles and responsibilities will include:

Direct and motivate the project team

Plan and monitor the project

Agree any delegation and use of Project Assurance roles required by the Project Board

Produce the Project Initiation Document

Prepare Project, Stage and, if necessary, Exception Plans in conjunction with Team Managers and appointed Project Assurance roles and agree them with the Project Board

Manage the risks, including the development of contingency plans

Liaise with programme management if the project is part of a programme

Liaise with programme management or related projects to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated

Ensure client service levels, agreed with the client, are delivered

Take responsibility for overall progress and use of resources and initiate corrective action where necessary

Candidates will come from a proven Construction Consultancy background, and be able to meet the following criteria:

Have a relevant degree (i.e. BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar construction /estates related)

Holding a PRINCE 2 qualification would be desirable but not essential.

Have a minimum of 3 years experience within the Construction industry

Have proven experience in the management of multiple construction projects
