Purpose
To lead the Project team to ensure that programs are delivered on time to the correct quality and to budge
Key responsibilities
General and Task Management
- Own and manage the relationship with the customer and provide regular communication on progress and issues.
- Ensure that a contract review is carried out on all orders received before confirmation of order and work commences.
- Manage the Sales Order book and ensure Works Orders are created and reviewed by the core project team prior to release.
- Monitor and report on spend and progress throughout the project lifecycle and feedback performance at end of project to the estimating team.
- Identify issues and initiate corrective action as necessary.
- Manage the program risks, and embed a risk management process into the program from the start.
- Promote and implement best practice.
- Compile and manage the action register.
- Report overall program status at monthly contract reviews.
- Carry out a lessons learnt at the end of the program.

- Support, comply and ensure compliance with HSE regulations, Company Policies & procedures, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures
- Proactively contribute to creating a good team atmosphere
Knowledge, Education and Skills
Knowledge (Essential):
- Customer account relations and management.
- Monitoring project progress and spend against budget.
- NPI and life cycle management.
- Understanding of a manufacturing facility, knowledge of composite materials and processes would be an advantage.
- Understanding of how to structure projects and create WBS.
Education & Professional Experience (Essential)
- Time served in a Project Management role or recognised Project Management qualification eg Prince2 or APM Project Management Qualification.
Skills and Competencies
- Computer skills – including Microsoft excel, word and powerpoint. Understanding of Microsoft Project would be an advantage.
- Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills.
- Able to work well as part of a team
Experience of MRP systems.

Other material requirements:
- Limited travel among sites may be required to support business functions and visits. Some international travel may also be required to support the needs of the business.
