MacArthur Recruitment Ltd
Salary: £21.6 per hour
Project Manager, Cumbria
£21.6 ph PAYE, 30 hr/wk
10 months, or possibly 12, fixed term contract
MacArthur Recruitment, on behalf of CADAS – Cumbria Alcohol and Drug Advisory Service, are seeking a Project Manager to set up a commercially viable support service to help people tackle their addictive behaviours.
CADAS is a Cumbrian charity that specialises in supporting people affected by problematic addictive behaviour like gambling, drug and alcohol use. In order to be less grant reliant and grow our support in the community, we are expanding our free behavioural change services, providing options for people to come to us directly and pay for immediate discreet and confidential support.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the charity on a fixed term contract for 10 to 12 months. You will be responsible for the set up and smooth delivery of this new venture so that it can become ‘business as usual’ for the charity managers to oversee. Your key task is to establish the service by creating and revising integral operating systems and processes that take advantage of technology and digital applications so that the free service becomes commercially viable.
Key project stages include:
Reviewing – the initial concept, the existing charitable offer, market appetite
Designing – how the new service fits with the existing charity, the customer experience, the commercial offer, automated administration procedures such as booking and data collection
Modelling – what it looks like in practice, troubleshooting staffing and capacity issues
Testing – piloting and using feedback to develop the systems or product
Implementation and handover.
For this position, we expect you to be a tech-savvy professional with an in-depth understanding of how technology can help us achieve our business goals. You should be process driven and methodical and have excellent time management skills so that all stages of the project remain on schedule. As a project manager, you should also use your communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams already operating the service so that everything complements and dovetails together.
Ultimately, you should be able to manage and deliver our projects’ digital lifecycle within quality, time and budget requirements.

- Lead and drive specialist and multi-disciplinary team meetings (internal and external stakeholders)
- Research resources, map processes and validate market requirements
- Identify the suitability and availability of resources such as a new CRM
