Our client is a leading manufacturing company, operating throughout the UK. They have a vacancy for a Project Engineer to join their busy production site in Ashford. The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing and coordinating capital projects. The incumbent will report to the Project Engineering Manager and have the following responsibilities:-

Develop project scope documents

Prepare tender and purchase specifications

Write and provide detailed justification for capital projects

Conduct Risk Assessments in line with corporate and UK legislation

Control budget and forecast spend for capital projects

Deliver project specification on time in full

Issue permits to work

Manage project engineers and contractors

Organise and chair supplier/project meetings and prepare minutes and action notes

Attend supplier meetings on/ off site

Work cross-functionally

Raise purchase orders

Required Experience and Qualifications:-

Post graduate experience in engineering

Project planning and management skills

Able to read and understand drawings

Conversant with Construction, Design and Management process

Able to work under pressure on own initiative

High level of IT literacy including numeracy

Problem solving skills, with good attention to detail and communication skills

Knowledge of PUWER and Early Equipment Management procedures
