Programme and Policy Support Officer
Job Description
The Richmond Group of Charities consists of 12 health and care charities working together to support people living with multiple long-term health conditions (MLTC) to be more physically active through their ‘Movement for All’ collaborative work programme. Age UK work with Parkinson’s UK, MS Society, Mind and Sport England. The latter also fund our programme with National Lottery funding.
In this fixed-term contract (until March 2025), the Programme and Policy Support Officer will provide efficient day-to-day administration and coordination of the Movement for All programme, whilst also using their communication and data analysis skills to support our policy influencing activity.
This fantastic opportunity offers hybrid and flexible working between home and a central London co-working hub.
Age UK Grade 7L
Must haves:
* A successful track record of supporting programmes and projects and experience managing a range of administrative tasks, systems and diary coordination with excellent administrative skills and attention to detail
* Demonstrable experience of working in a fast paced, complex environment, working collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders and an ability to understand complexity
* Proven ability of working with evidence and insight and undertaking data analysis, with excellent IT, data management and analysis skills
* Demonstrable experience of coordinating and undertaking a range of communications with excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to adapt tone and message for different audiences
* Excellent organisational and planning skills and the ability to prioritise workloads, manage competing demands and work calmly and confidently under pressure
* Demonstrable experience of coordinating events such as meetings, conferences, workshops and seminars
* Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships, work collaboratively but also on one’s own initiative.
Great to haves:
* Experience or knowledge of policy development and systems thinking
* Awareness of agile project management approaches including monitoring and evaluation
* Knowledge of physical activity in a behaviour change context
* Awareness of the lived experience of people with long term health conditions
* Knowledge of the health and wellbeing policy landscape in relation to physical activity.
