Dutypoint is a rapidly expanding manufacturer and supplier of pumps, pump systems and Packaged Utility Rooms (PUR). This role is specifically part of the PUR Team. Based at our manufacturing facility in Quedgeley West Business Park, Hardwicke, the successful applicant for this role will enjoy being part of a vibrant team, working in an enjoyable atmosphere alongside great colleagues. Scope of Job

To assist and guide the production staff to ensure all Packaged Utility Rooms (PUR) are manufactured to the highest standard and meet or exceed the required deadlines.

Principal Responsibilities / Duties

  • Supervise a team of Production Operatives
  • Adhere to production schedules alongside the Production Planner
  • Working with the Production Manager to deliver agreed weekly and monthly plans
  • Manage holidays, sickness and time keeping to ensure no loss of production, elevating to the Production Manager where needed.
  • Monitor the team’s performance using agreed KPIs
  • Hold daily team meetings to review progress against the plan and update the team to known issues
  • Report to the Production Manager on all aspects of the team’s performance
  • Maintain 5S throughout the production line along with maintaining daily housekeeping routines
  • Work closely with Quality and Engineering
  • Work with team to ensure all products are built to customer specification and to an acceptable standard.

Principal Skills & Attributes

  • Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment is essential
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to lead, manage, motivate and develop a team
  • Project management experience would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills are required
  • Understanding of Lean methodology and Continuous Improvement
  • Team player
  • To be able to manage their own time in an effective manner
  • Self-motivate and well organised with a results driven approach
  • Experience with use of MS Office applications (eg. Word, Excel, Outlook).
