A long established precision engineering company is seeking an experienced Production Planner

My client, based in South Yorkshire, has a global presence assisting and developing supply chains whilst manufacturing precision engineered components. They are renowned for their innovation and their quality allowing them to be work within the nuclear and aerospace sectors in trusted partnerships.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be reporting into the Production Manager, as the Production Planner your responsibilities will include;

* Analysing and collating data

* Review production plans on a daily basis, Report potential risks to management.
* Develop inventory control techniques to avoid shortages.
* Review job orders and establish priorities and schedules
* Assist managers in controlling production cost while maintaining quality standards
* Plan and monitor material movement in production cycles to ensure continuous operations
* Coordinate with shop floor managers & Assembly Managers in resolving production planning & control Issues
* Communicate production updates to managers and customers
* Manage supply of SKUs within a given portfolio
* Promote inventory management
* Deliver forecasting reports

Profile

The successful candidate for this role will ideally have;

* Previous production planning experience
* Previous experience within precision engineering or aerospace industry
* Strong IT skills including SAP experience
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Experience in leading a cross-functional team
* Strong negotiation skills and experience

Job Offer

Salary is £30,000 – £42,000’000 – £35,000 dependant on experience
