Production Operator

My client a leading specialist within its field is looking to recruit experienced Production Operators to join their successful team based at their site in Cwmbran.

Job Summary:

To operate both mainline, white wool production lines in conjunction with additional ancillary equipment as efficiently as possible, maximizing product quality and output.

The role:

* Efficient product changeovers, equipment set up and fault finding on mainline.
* React quickly to line requirements with production high speeds.
* Re-introduction of product to conveying lines from warehouse storage areas using safe manual handling techniques, during periods of line in-activity.
* Follow production plans, manufacture the correct product and quantities so they are available for loading maintaining OTIF requirements for the site.
* Comply 100% with the current quality systems in place and record data as required to help monitor plant performance.
* Take actions to minimize downtime wherever possible, maximizing line availability, minimizing waste, cost and environmental impact.
* Inform relevant parties of product or machine defects as appropriate so that proactive corrective actions can be taken.
* Comply with all CI initiatives in all areas if the plant and participate proactively in process improvement.
* Actively use CI tools and techniques within the day to day operation, using structured problem solving techniques to suggest process improvement.

The successful candidate:

* A proven track record working within in a similar role.
* Experience working within a continuous plant operation is essential preferably with hot end experience.
* Exposure working with CI tools and techniques.
* Good attention to detail
* Must have the flexibility to work to a continental shift pattern
