Job Summary

This role plays a key part in Codel’s manufacturing function. The Production Operative will complete accurate and efficient process for the building and testing of electronic modules including manual assembly with hand tools. The post holder will work to set quality and workmanship standards, working as part of a small team.

Principal Accountabilities

* Building and testing of electronic modules to a consistently high standard (including manual assembly using hand tools)

* Consistently follows workmanship standards documentation

* Compliance with quality procedures within assembly and test functions

* Assists with to ensuring departmental cost, delivery & quality performance targets are consistently achieved.

* Assists with ensuring good environmental, health & safety (E.H.S.) practice within the department to help ensure the company remains a safe and healthy place to work and establishes a positive impact on the environment.

* Demonstrates a commitment to working in accordance with company / Forbes Marshall values, delivering all aspects of your specific area of responsibility in a manner which is consistent with those values and engendering that commitment amongst the Codel team.

Skills required:-

* Good dexterity

* Ability to follow assembly instructions

* Basic knowledge of electronics

* Soldering skills

* Manual handling skills – able to lift and move product

* Good attention to detail

* Good work ethic

* Literacy and numeracy skills of a good standard for understanding Health & Safety policy / notices and standards documentation / instructions

* Ability to work as part of a team or on their own

* Ability to work efficiently and bring new ideas
