Production Manager

Salary: £45,600 per year

‘Our client, a well-established manufacturing business on the outskirts of Derby close to East Midlands Airport and the M1/A50 junction, supplies several large, well known independent retailers throughout the UK and Europe.

Reporting directly into the Operations Manager, you will have sole responsibility for a team of first line managers and operatives with 4 key aims:

Managing day to day production (including H+S, quality, and target achievement)

Conducting an ongoing and thorough OEE analysis to identify efficiency gains (Lean experience preferred)

Performance management of team leaders, and responsibility for their development

Engage all shop floor staff with effective communication, and identify talent for future progression

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate at interview experience, using detailed examples, of all the above.

A background in foam/mattresses would be a distinct advantage but not essential.

Working days (flexible hours dependant on business needs) Monday to Friday, this role has long term progression potential into senior management roles, within an ambitious and growing business climate.

Health and safety procedures

Outstanding leadership skills

Good understanding of MRP and systems

Effective management of a team of individuals

Mentoring and development of key subordinates
