Product Manager – Gifting

Salary: £30,000 – £42,000 per year

You will be responsible for the creative input, content research, product sourcing, supplier selection, packaging and for monitoring the progress through to eventual delivery of the product to the customer.

A fantastic opportunity for a Product Manager – Gifting to join a leading business in the Gifting & toiletries market based in the York area. The business works with a number of different retails from Tesco, Boots, Superdrug etc.

Description

• Product managers are the champions of the products within their portfolio. They are responsible for the creative input, content research, product sourcing, supplier selection, packaging and for monitoring the progress through to eventual delivery of the product to the customer.
• Product managers may be required to externally engage with retail buyers, demonstrating an intelligent understanding of the retail category, presentation of recommended strategy and the corresponding product range.
• The role demands creative flair, positive attitude, and an open-minded approach to drive new product development.
• Experience of working to specific and challenging margin requirements. The role also requires maintenance of budgets for licensors and retailers.
• Responsible for following internal procedures and processes to bring products to market. The administration of the process and a high level of accuracy is key to achieving efficient product launches.
• Product Managers are responsible for monitoring the retail and competitor market, providing analysis on innovation and scrutinising sales to understand the needs of the market, then feedback trends, insights and suggestions to drive commercial development.
• The job holder is required to attend sourcing and manufacturer visits in Europe and the Far East. This includes trade shows and factory visits.
