Product Launch Manager

Salary: £60,000 per year

Product Launch Manager, Scunthorpe, up to £50,000pa + 25 day hol + BH, moving to 30 days holiday + excellent additional benefits

Key responsibilities of the Product Launch Manager:

• Ensuring that the plant meets its legal and company obligations with respect to safety, environmental and hygiene factors through launch related activities
• Being an integrated member of the program team and develop a detailed knowledge of the products and processes required for developing the plant
• Liaising and reporting program status and progress
• Managing the launch accountability process
• Participating and assisting in PFMEA’s and process flow development
• Co-ordinating and delivering prototype part requirements to develop and enhance the products and processes in preparation for program launch
• Leading and delivering new product launches into the plant
• Collaborating closely with the customer ensuring good working relationships and unrivalled support, assisting with both arising issues and continuous improvement activities
• Participating in all customer-related cost down activities and new product introduction
• Leading change management processes from conception through to successful launch
• Leading all manufacturing engineering activities from process flow, layout, equipment specification through to timely introduction

We are looking for a product Launch Manager with the following experience and qualifications.

• Qualified in Engineering or Project management
• Fast paced manufacturing experience
• with new product launches
• Computer literate preferably MS project
• Knowledge of manufacturing methodologies such as 5s, Kaizen, SMED etc.
