Private Client Tax Associate

The Role:

As part of their continued success, we are looking for a Private Client Tax Associate (sometimes referred to elsewhere as Personal Tax Senior or Personal Tax Semi Senior) who will be based in their central Tunbridge Wells office.

Key Responsibilities including some or all of the following:

Preparation of personal tax returns for individuals and partnerships.
Correspondence with clients, HM Revenue & Customs and third parties.
Dealing with HM Revenue & Customs enquiries.
Liaising with clients by phone, post, email and occasionally in person.
Dealing with PAYE coding matters, NI deferment forms, pension forms and other relevant forms.
Dealing with billing and other administrative issues relating to the portfolio.
Keeping managers, partners & clients appraised of all relevant matters relating to their tax affairs, including proactive suggestions.
Occasional involvement in other departmental, office or firm activities such as the Budget coverage and internal presentations.

The Candidate:

Demonstrable personal tax experience in a compliance role or compliance and advisory role
You will be a team player.
Some form of professional and appropriate qualification such as ATT. CTA, STEP, AAT.
Enthusiastic, reliable and used to working to deadlines.
Shows initiative and common sense.
Able to work under pressure when required, especially in January.
Produces accurate work within acceptable timescales.
Keen to learn more and recognise limits of own abilities/experience.
