Private Client Partner / Head of Department

An exciting opportunity has arisen at a National firm, for a Senior Solicitor or Director to take the next step in their career and become a Partner. In this role you will be heading an established team of 7 divided across two sites. With an opportunity to be a driving force in growing the department. A highly progressive firm, with an outstanding reputation amongst their staff.

The work will involve a full range of Private Client matters including:

Wills, Trusts and Estates, LPOAs and Probate
Deputyship and Court of Protection
Contentious and non-contentious
The successful candidate will need to have indepth experience as a Private Client Solicitor or CILEx helping vulnerable clients, and is responsible for managing and coordinating Deputyships across the Company, taking on the bulk of existing Deputyship work as well as acting as a Trustee.

The successful applicant will have direct reports but generally take an overseeing perspective on the day to day management and supervision of the team, including supporting and assisting colleagues as and when required and budget management for the group.

Experience in Private Client work, including Court of Protection.
Previous people management experience in a Private Client department is required and, as this position is responsible for managing and supervising team members alongside running a caseload

Able to work coolly to deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
This role requires a proven ability to manage, motivate, develop and maintain team performance,
Interested in business development to be a driving force behind the expansion of this department
