Principal Electronics Designer

Principal Electronics Designer is required on a permanent employment basis for an electronics design and manufacturing business who are world leaders in their field of wireless technology and sensors. You will be based in their R&D facility in Berkshire (commutable from the likes of Reading, Windsor, Maidenhead, Slough etc.)

As the Principal Electronics Designer you will be responsible for leading the Research and Development activities from both a hands-on design perspective and also in leading the team. It is expected that 60% of your time will be involved hands-on with full life-cycle product design and development utilising skills covering analogue circuit design, digital hardware, as well as some embedded firmware for micro-controllers. The remaining 40% of your time will be involved in the day to day management of a team of circa 6-8x multi-disciplined design professionals.

To be considered you will be expected to have been qualified to a good degree level in electronics (or equivalent) which is then backed by in-depth professional electronics design experience and some exposure to team leading duties or responsibilities.
