To succeed in this Teaching Assistant role, your academic record must be a perfect example of achievement through hard work, with ideally a First Class degree. You should have an effortless knowledge of English, with advanced skills in spoken, written and reading English. The Role

You will be joining an energetic Year 6 Class as a Teaching Assistant. The class is of mixed ability, and has 2 SEN pupils and 2 pupils who speak ‘English as an Additional Language’. These pupils already have the support of another Learning Support Assistant however you will sometimes work with them in the classroom. You will work on a whole class capacity, reinforcing the lesson material and helping pupils complete lesson activities. You will also lead small intervention groups to provide extra support to pupils who struggle with Literacy and Numeracy. The Year 6 Teacher you will be working with is the PGCE Student Mentor, therefore you will be learning from a highly regarded and talented practitioner.
