We are seeking a new analyst to add to our dedicated and passionate Pricing team.

Paying a salary circa £30000 – £31,000 per annum

Our team goal is to optimise revenue for our property owners and for the business. This role plays a crucial part in the team by making commercial strategic decisions supported by intricate data analysis and market research. The key focus of the role is setting optimal price points for new and existing properties across our portfolio.

To succeed in this role you need to be analytical, commercially minded and have extremely high attention to detail. You will be accountable for setting and refining pricing strategies as well as monitoring price points and maintaining controls to ensure revenue optimal pricing is in place.

Success in this role will be measured through some key OKRs including owner revenue, research project outputs and quality of reporting.

Your Responsibilities

Leading the future year pricing process on a departure week level. This involves setting an overall pricing strategy for each departure week then applying detailed property level analysis on bookings achieved, selling price and level of pricing flexibility

Carrying out research on various factors impacting price levels, for example regions, features and special events and then proposing new price strategies on the back of this research

Developing income projection logic for new properties coming on board as well as tracking the accuracy of these to optimise where possible but also maintaining a competitive edge

Monitoring new property pricing through regular reporting – both holistic and at property level

Creating and maintaining reporting to track all objectives for the Market Pricing team including Owner Revenue, pricing option upgrades and new property performance

Providing support and coaching to the Market Pricing Specialists and New Property Pricing team to grow the analytical skillset across the team

Completing ad-hoc analysis on demand and performance trends to fulfil owners’ requests or assist other teams around the business

The Pricing team is responsible for the following critical functions:

Pricing strategy and execution ensuring we are competitive, profitable, and maintaining customer trust in pricing across our portfolio of properties

Acting as a key control on the pricing of new properties through regular reporting and analysis. This is done through weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting along with regular feedback to the New Property Pricing and New Owner teams

Working closely with our Property Recruitment, Marketing and Revenue Management teams to optimise pricing for all holiday durations

Regional market research to help develop future pricing strategies

Performing detailed pricing for the next departure year on a rolling basis to maximise the future potential income of all properties based on their prior performance

Colleagues in the department may have access to material which is confidential or commercially sensitive in some way. It is a condition of their contract of employment that they use great discretion at all times and ensure that no confidential material is leaked from the department to unauthorized members of staff, customers or owners.

  • Excellent numeracy and data interpretation skills
  • Understanding of factors affecting price levels
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong commercial awareness (ideally within the holiday lettings or travel and tourism industry)
  • Ability to communicate and influence across different teams and departments
  • Understanding of browser based IT systems
  • Experience using SQL
  • Strong experience of using MS Office suite (Excel etc)
  • Able to work in a target driven environment
  • Data analysis and data interrogation experience

Although standouts will also have:

  • Understanding of demand elasticity and revenue management
  • Experience of contract and commercial terms negotiation
  • Experience in giving verbal and written presentations
  • Knowledge of Tableau
  • Pricing background
  • Experience working in a two sided market
  • Experience of working within the travel and tourism industry and/or property sectors (e.g. estate agency or residential lettings)
