My client is one of the industry’s leading attraction operators presenting a growing portfolio of cultural visitor attractions across the UK.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Marketing & PR Executive to join their unique visitor attraction in Leeds.

Main Responsibilities

* Develop the marketing strategy with the Marketing Manager in line with business and marketing objectives for the attraction.
* Create appropriate PR strategy with the attraction’s Marketing Manager and external PR Consultant, covering consumer and trade markets in line with objectives for the attraction.
* Assist with the implementation of planned and reactive marketing and PR activity including digital, regional and local PR campaign management, promotional material production, partnership activities, events, direct mail and advertising campaigns to improve the profile of the attraction and drive footfall.
* Reports and cuttings files; evaluating coverage; maintaining press and media contact database; full press office functionality; monitoring Google alerts and identifying topical media opportunities.

Required Competencies

* The ideal candidate will have all round marketing skills and knowledge including an understanding of strategy, market insight and analysis, writing creative briefs and working with specific brand guidelines.
* Marketing/ PR or associated/ equivalent degree or professional qualification OR at least some time working in a Marketing & PR role.
* Setting up and running social media accounts and digital PR activity.
* The role also includes assisting with private evening hire and event operations as and when required.
* Knowledge of consumer and trade travel media.
* Strong PR skills including drafting, vetting and distributing press releases, setting up and running social media accounts and digital PR activity
