Our client has two main campuses at Ashington and Kirkley Hall and centres at Hexham and Berwick.

They offer hundreds of full-time and part-time courses, work with students aged 14-19, mature students, higher education students and employers from numerous industry sectors.

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Director, this role will support in managing the proactive and reactive presence of the College brand and reputation.

You will be responsible for publishing, monitoring and responding across all of our Social Media channels on a daily basis, as well as sourcing, researching and compiling PR stories to promote the College brand and identifying the best channels of distribution within local and national press, specialist publications, radio and TV as appropriate.

The successful candidate will have experience of writing copy for Social Media Platforms, working with Social Media plug-ins and apps, social and digital media tools such as Google Alerts, Hootsuite, digital SLR and supporting post production software, such as Photoshop. You will be degree level qualified or equivalent in a relevant subject with either a professional qualification or suitable work based experience, with excellent communication skills.
