Company Profile: Our Client has a state-of-the-art factory in Derbyshire where they manufacture a range of diesel engines and generators. Their standard range of generators covers 18 power nodes from 15-550 KVA but bespoke builds are possible up to 3000 KVA

Job Position: Powertrain Facilities Test Technician / Engineer

Division: Power Systems

Reporting to: Test and Development Operations Manager

Job Status: Permanent Staff Position

Job Profile: The main focus for this position is to ensure that these test cells produce high quality data at high levels of efficient and effective testing.

Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

Candidates must have previous experience of the service, repair, calibration, testing of Facilities Test equipment.

Test and repair of electronic equipment, PCs, printed circuit boards, etc. would be a distinct advantage.

Candidates should have experience in a maintenance field, electronics and have a fundamental understanding of how a development engine test cell works.

Responsibilities:

You will become one of the team whose main responsibility is the quick response to cell breakdowns, keeping the test cells running, being your main priority.

Repair of electrical / mechanical / electronic equipment in the development engine test cells and infrastructure.

Service and calibration of equipment used in the engine research lab.

Routine and preventative maintenance of the engine research lab.

Bespoke test rigs construction.

Integration and commissioning of new equipment.

Salary/Rate: Up to £45,600 per annum, plus bonus, pension scheme, health scheme, 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
