Power Systems Engineer—etap

Salary: £42,000 – £60,000 per year

Fantastic opportunity for a Power Systems Engineer to secure a new role with a market leading Consultancy undertaking power systems modelling on major hyperscale data centre projects.

THE COMPANY

• International Multi-disciplinary Engineering Design Consultancy based in Edinburgh.
• Diverse project experience but they are specialists within the mission critical sector and are enjoying huge success in this area.
• Major projects in the UK and overseas.
• Fully set up for hybrid working

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Power Systems Engineer will be working within the M&E Design Team modelling a whole electrical system from the substation (HV) through to the power outlets (LV).
• The Power systems Engineer will be using ETAP to create an electrical system model to identify fault currents, ARC Flash etc on a large-scale data centre project.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND

• The Power Systems Engineer will ideally be Degree or Equivalent Qualified in Electrical Design, Power or Building Services Engineering.
• The Power Systems Engineer will have working knowledge of the power systems modelling software. ETAP would be preferable but knowledge of SKM or DigSilent would also be considered.
• Consultancy Design experience with working knowledge of hyperscale data centre projects would be beneficial but not essential.
• Must have the ability to work 3 days in the office as well as 2 days from home effectively.
