Would you like to be a key member of the Poppyscotland fundraising team? Would you like to add to the success of the Scottish Poppy Appeal?
We are looking for a Poppy Appeal Organiser for West Scotland to join the Poppyscotland team. This role will see you coordinating and managing regional specific areas for the Scottish Poppy Appeal with primary responsibility for meeting fundraising targets.
Contributing to the overall fundraising strategy, this busy role will see you responsible for West Scotland where you will be managing and supporting volunteer Area Organisers and overseeing all Scottish Poppy Appeal fundraising activities for this designated area.
Some key responsibilities will include:
- Develop, implement, and review all appropriate Scottish Poppy Appeal activities regularly to ensure they follow agreed processes and procedures.
- Recruit, liaise with and support Scottish Poppy Appeal area organisers and volunteers.
- Oversee the co-ordination and organisation of all financial accounting for collections.
- Maintain appropriate records and produce finance reports.
- Support and proactively develop quality supporter and stakeholder relationships.
- Plan and deliver collection in Glasgow City Centre and transport hub
You will be a confident communicator with experience of developing and sustaining relationships across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will also enjoy working on your own initiative whilst always representing the organisation professionally. Due to the nature of work in this role, you will also hold a full UK drivers’ licence.
Areas this position will have responsibility for include: Argyll and Bute, Dumfries and Galloway, East Ayrshire, East Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, Glasgow, Highland, Inverclyde, North Ayrshire, North Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, South Ayrshire, South Lanarkshire, West Dunbartonshire, Western Isles.

The normal place of work for this post is Cameronian House, 9 Holyrood Crescent, Glasgow, G20 6HJ. Under our Future Working framework, there will be some flexibility for working remotely/at home, using our collaboration tools. Your People Manager will determine the requirements of this based on Poppyscotland policy.
