Maintenance Person / Plumber

We are looking for a skilled plumber / maintenance person to work for one of our NHS clients in Bradford.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm (9am – 5pm)

Rate of pay: £13.49ph

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 4 weeks initially – with a view to be extended

Duties will include routine breakdown/repair, planned maintenance and installation/ commissioning works on all the Trusts’ plumbing, heating systems, air conditioning and gas installation. The post holder must be capable of organising the workload, on occasion, on your own initiatives, with full consideration for patient and staff requirements within a sensitive and caring healthcare environment. The post holder will come into regular contact with patients.

List of core duties/responsibilities undertaken on a regular basis

Gas Appliances:

Working on gas appliances both domestic, commercial/industrial and catering equipment
Selection, installation, servicing and repair of the aboveStatutory duties

Prevention of Legionella bacteria growth through dosing and cleaning of tanks, including blending valves
Ensure that all work on potable (drinking water) systems meet the highest hygiene requirements
Installation and commissioning and servicing for anti scald devices
Hydrotherapy pool maintenance, sampling and dosing utilising ph test kits
Plumbing and heating:
Installation, servicing and maintenance of heating, plumbing and drainage systems
To clear blocked drains and drain pipes, often dealing with sewage and other disposable items

These roles require Taskmaster to conduct a criminal record check on all successful applicants.
