PLC Control Software Engineer

Salary: £33,600 – £36,000 per year

Some PLC programming skills, some C ability, like WORKING FROM HOME? Read on.

You’ll be working for the Mechatronic Control Systems team of a large, multinational engineering company, which designs the PLC HMI and control software systems for mechatronic applications, such as screw conveyors, dustcarts and quarry vehicles, lifting and handling, cranes, canal lock gates….a big list.

They’ve got room in the team for someone with some PLC programming skills, some HMI skills, maybe you’ve got some C programming skills too. BUT someone who has made a start to an automation career- or studied them at college, unversity- and who now wants to develop, learn more, grow more skills.

Working from home to code, develop and debugging your PLC HMI control and automation software, you’ll occasionally go to the office – 1 day in 10- and very occasionally (15%) travel to customers’ sites in the UK and overseas to support and implement the control systems you have developed.

Ideal location? Central England, such as West Midlands, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire Leicestershire Oxfordshire, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Bedfordshire- to make that 1 in 10 days in the office a little bit easier to do.
