Salary: £26,000 per year
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plant Fitter on behalf of our Grounds Maintenance Client based at a busy site in the Luton area.
Main responsibilities and objectives;
To work alongside other mechanics to undertake service, maintenance and repair to powered horticultural machinery, gritting hoppers and associated equipment including some work with company vehicles.
All servicing maintenance and repair to be carried out in line with best practice, manufacturers recommendations and legislative requirements, to ensure the timely availability of machines.
All servicing maintenance and repair to be carried out in line with Health and Safety requirements and in a cost effective manner.
Comply with company Health and Safety procedures and/ or policies.
Act in the best interest of the company at all times.
Machinery and Equipment
Winter servicing of powered commercial grounds maintenance machinery.
Adhoc repairs to powered commercial grounds maintenance machinery.
Service maintenance and repair to gritting hoppers.
Fitting out of vehicles with gritting wiring harnesses and ancillary equipment.
Paperwork
Complete daily timesheets
Complete condemned equipment forms
Complete workshop consumables requisition forms
Key Skills
Good knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment
Competent in the servicing and repair of commercial grounds maintenance machinery.
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Commercial awareness
Recognised industry related qualification
Good PC skills
